Friday was our last full day of Mission Trip. It was a day full of hard work and lots of celebrating...both the freedom of living in the USA, but more importantly, the freedom we have in Christ!
We had many festivities to celebrate the 4th, including a wonderful, festive worship service led by B.A.C.O.N. in the Tabernacle! We also enjoyed festive marshmallow pops created by the kitchen team and had fun with sparklers late in the evening!
We are eager to share about our week with our church family tomorrow, Sunday, July 6th! We have all discovered in a deeper way just who "He is..." to us. Come hear testimonies and how God worked this past week at 10 am!

Day 4
Thursday was our fourth day on the worksite with a lot of accomplishments. Siding work continued, deck painting, kitchen work and many other projects.
We have been blessed by our lunches on the worksite! Mel grilled for us Monday through Wednesday and we had warm bar-b-q sandwiches with mac-n-cheese and coleslaw on our fourth day! We even got a surprise visit from part of the kitchen team with popsicles to enjoy!
On Thursday evening, we enjoyed dinner out at a local steakhouse. It was a great time of fellowship and fun! We all received our matching Mission Trip "He Is..." t-shirts to wear out.
Our evening concluded with our Worship service led by Justin and our worship music team. We heard a moving testimony from Justin as he spoke about how God pursues us and does all He can to get our attention. That He often gives us "wake up" calls to save us from destruction and a path less than the best that He has planned for us. He truly is our shelter from the storm of life. His love and salvation is for every one of us.

Day 3
Wednesday was a half day on the worksite so that we could spend the afternoon at the pool for some "down" time hanging out together. On the worksite, more siding was added, the drywall is ready to sand in the kitchen, the siding on the right side of the house in completed, the porch is completed, there is more progress on the front of the house and the gables were completed. There is still a lot of work to accomplish, but we are already amazed by how much has been completed!
Team B.A.C.O.N. spent the morning constructing and team-building with ..... bacon! They had a blast and the little kiddos even got to help some with the fun.
We spent the afternoon splashing around and having a great time together at the Hartselle Aquatic Center!
Team "P.E.T.R.A." did our worship service tonight. It was a powerful time of the Holy Spirit speaking through this family group about how God is our ROCK. If we build our lives on the "Solid Rock", we will not crumble.
We are seeing God work in many different and mighty ways this week. During the week, we have the chance of recording where we see God and displaying it to share with the team. We are confident this pile of rocks will only continue to grow as we see God work in many more ways the rest of the week!
